Former Norwalk principal accused of theft asks for diversionary program

The suspected larceny was reported to police in June 2016, just a few months after Reynolds, a popular school administrator with more than 20 years of education experience, left the district to become the new headmaster of Pear Tree Point School, a private elementary school in Darien. A school clerical employee made a statement to police in which she said cash payments were placed into an envelope and kept in Reynolds’ office closet. The employee told police that Reynolds would use cash collected for the fund to buy breakfast and lunch for himself and staff members.
