STAMFORD-After being given the opportunity to have a gun possession charged erased, a Stamford man was sentenced to five years in jail Monday after he was caught firing a gun on a West Side street in December. Dhakedi Jackson, 19, was sentenced by Judge Gary White, who in March 2016 agreed to erase a charge of conspiracy to commit criminal possession of a revolver in connection with a 2015 arrest of Jackson. The friend was shot in the stomach and Jackson told police that he returned fire against the drive-by shooter with a .40 caliber semiautomatic Glock pistol.
