Trump presidency is only two weeks away – April 29 – but the president has already been busy, wielding his presidential pen to slash away at laws and rules that protect ordinary citizens. Many voters who helped to elect President Trump wrestled with how to vote, but said after the election that “If he doesn’t do what he said, we’ll just elect somebody else.” The problem with that notion – and the consequences we’re seeing unfold before us now – is the wide-ranging ripple effect on all of our institutions of government, even those we like. A nonpartisan group of citizens has planned a Tax Day Town Hall in Oxford at 7 p.m.
