Tupelo High School principal departing for superintendent role

HARRIS DAILY JOURNAL TUPELO – Tupelo High School Principal Jason Harris has been named the next superintendent of the Columbia School District. Harris has served as an administrator in the Tupelo Public School District since 2006 and has been principal of THS for six years. Harris interviewed with the Columbia Board of Trustees earlier this week, and board members announced Thursday he had been selected for the position. “I am thankful to have served the students and staff of the Tupelo Public School District for the past 11 years,” Harris said.
