The hearing was held by the Board of the Finance and Board of Representatives Fiscal Committee at Westover Magnet Elementary School. Besides the Boys & Girls Club program, community members urged board members to keep funding intact for the Ferguson Library and Stamford Young Artists Philharmonic — which are independently run but receive some help from the city — and special education.
