By Thomas Simpson Daily Journal TUPELO – Evan Locke has helped build homes with Habitat for Humanity for three years now. He has enjoyed the work he has been able to do with the organization, working with some of his peers this week on finishing up some touches on the house located at 205 Nanny Drive. The United States Air Force Academy senior assumed that it was “always the same project where you build a house and someone lives in it,” but he was surprised to find out “the other stuff that Habitat for Humanity does that affects other’s lives.” “Last year, there was a woman that was living in a house that had a leaked roof, and her landlord threatened to evict here if she didn’t pay to fix the roof,” Locke said.
