STAMFORD-A city teen behind the wheel of a stolen car spotted going the wrong way on Bedford Street past the police headquarters was apprehended after a pursuit took police into Greenwich early Friday morning. Sgt. Simon Blanc said two officers were parked outside police headquarters at the intersection of Bedford and Hoyt Street when they spotted a white Hyundai passing them heading southbound on one-way Bedford Street. The driver, Jose Perez, 18, of Young Dixon Way, was charged with first-degree larceny, reckless endangerment, sixth-degree larceny, reckless driving, engaging police in pursuit, interfering with an officer and driving without a license.
