Legendary creates MonsterVerse writer’s room for Godzilla vs King Kong THR brings word that Legendary Pictures has assembled a “writer’s room” for the upcoming Godzilla vs King Kong movie, set for a 2020 release. Terry Rossio, co-writer of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise (who also holds story credit on 1998’s Godzilla), will lead the room along with Star Trek Beyond and Star Trek 4 writers Patrick McKay and J.D.
