Major concerns included a $7.3 million reduction in Education Cost Sharing funds and the new requirement for towns to pay one third of teacher pensions. The ramifications of receiving such state reductions in such an abrupt manner would force the schools to make severe cuts and dramatically reduce our ability to educate our students.
