One Clark County athlete collected an NCAA soccer championship, and another is still in pursuit. On Saturday, Western Washington won the NCAA Division II national title, beating Grand Valley State 3-2 at Kansas City, Mo. Columbia River grad Taylor Hallquist had an assist in the championship match. She finished the season with one goal and five assists. Meanwhile in Louisville, the Stanford men’s soccer team booked a place in the NCAA final four by beating the Cardinals 2-0 thanks in part to another goal by Mountain View grad Foster Langsdorf. Langsdorf took over the national lead with his eighth game-winner of the season and his 15 goals this season are the most for a Stanford player in 35 years. The Cardinal will face North Carolina in Houston at 5:45 p.m.
