Danbury man charged with faulty asphalt work

Legrande Cooper, 28, is charged with 11 counts of second-degree larceny and one count of racketeering after a joint investigation with both local police and the state Department of Consumer Protection. Police began a joint investigation with the state officials, authorities said, after they learned about eight cases in the area since 2012 where substandard work was done, resulting in asphalt coming apart shortly after work was completed.
