After four days on the run last week, Gomez Ruano was taken into custody in Brooklyn on Friday afternoon after abandoning his six-year-old daughter Daisy in a mid-town bus depot in Manhattan Monday morning. Lt. Thomas Barcello said Gomez Ruano is now being held by New York State as a fugitive from justice warrant, resulting from the Stamford police department’s filing of a felony child endangerment charge against him. Barcello said the couple’s six-year-old daughter remains in the custody of the state Department of Children and Families.
