The dilemma of Kalee Doche is not uncommon. Social worker Joy Gayle sees it frequently. “Bottom line, this is a place where a lot of folks I see every day fall in,” she said. Doche, 54, is the caregiver for her husband, John, 55, who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease. Doche was diagnosed at age 52, making him in the 1 percent of those stricken so young with the fatal brain degenerative disease. The Doches fall into that frustrating middle ground.
