Report: A&M no longer playing LSU on Thanksgiving

A familiar tradition is missing on Texas A&M's 2017 conference schedule and it could be gone for the foreseeable feature.The Aggies will not be playing LSU on Thanksgiving Day next season. A&M is slated to face the Tigers on Saturday, Nov. 25, per the schedule released Tuesday night.According to the Houston Chronicle, the two teams will no longer play on Thanksgiving, something A&M and Texas did for many years before the two schools decided to stop playing each other once the Aggies left the Big 12 Conference for the Southeastern Conference.Mississippi State and Mississippi will play on Thanksgiving to give ESPN an annual game on the holiday, according to the Chronicle's Brent Zwerneman.LSU and A&M have played in November in three of the four years the Aggies have been in the SEC.
