Three dozen homeowners near San Diego State will soon lose their free weekly trash pick-ups because city officials recently discovered some of the roads in their townhome community are private instead of public. The city’s decision comes after the community’s management company filed two claims earlier this year seeking $200 from the city for alleged landscaping damage by city trash trucks.
