On Monday the NCAA announced that it would move several tournaments, including the women's soccer championship and the opening rounds of March Madness, out of North Carolina "because of the cumulative actions taken by the state concerning civil rights protections" through the state's HB2 law, which infringes on the civil liberties of the LGBTQ community.This comes almost two months after the NBA moved its All-Star Game from North Carolina in protest of the same law.Soon after the NCAA's decision, North Carolina GOP spokeswoman Kami Mueller released a statement blasting the NCAA's move and questioning why the NCAA has not taken similar action towards Baylor following its sexual assault scandal.Click here to view the tweet on your mobile app.The NCAA has stayed out of Baylor's sexual assault scandal because even though federal Title IX laws were allegedly violated in how the university handled the situation it does not appear as though any NCAA rules were broken.Twitter: @AdamGrosbard
