University of Northern Iowa to hold vigil for student found in Iowa River

The University of Northern Iowa plans to hold a vigil for former student Nathan Twedt at 8 p.m. today. The event takes place at the Campanile, according to UNI’s official Twitter account. Twedt’s body was pulled from the Iowa River near the Benton Street Bridge at 7:48 p.m. Saturday, according to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.Twedt, 21, was from Marion.The investigation into Twedt’s death is ongoing.
