PORTALES, N.M. (AP) — Eastern New Mexico University's campus in Portales continues to grow. The university reports that the campus' fall enrollment now tops 6,000, with just under 4,600 undergraduates and over 1,400 graduate students. The fall total enrollment of 6,014 grew by a percentage point above the fall 2015 enrollment of 5,946. University President Steven Gamble attributes the enrollment increase to low cost, a commitment to student success and what he calls a "personal touch." The university also has campuses in Roswell and Ruidoso.
