ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Authorities say a Southwest Airlines flight from Albuquerque to Denver has been delayed after a suspicious item was spotted in the cabin before takeoff. Albuquerque International Sunport spokesman Dan Jiron says the plane was scheduled to depart before 5 p.m. Monday. Instead, the plane was evacuated and taxied to a remote part of the airport and passengers were taken by bus back to the terminal. Jiron says the item and plane was inspected and cleared by airport authorities and a canine. He says it's unclear what the suspicious item was, but passengers are being rescreened before boarding the plane again. Read more on Colorado Springs Gazette
