Blood coming in to Shepeard Community Blood Center will soon be tested for Zika due to a new guidance issued by the Food and Drug Administration on Friday. Georgia and South Carolina were among the 11 states that are expected to begin testing in the next month. Previously blood testing was mostly limited to Florida and Puerto Rico.
