600-foot Crowley ship floats Jacksonville's commitment to liquefied natural gas

Not even a week after being christened in a Philadelphia shipyard where it was built, the 600-foot fuel tanker MT West Virginia was on display at JaxPort’s cruise terminal this week as the latest vessel to join Crowley Maritime Inc. “This ship was built to be converted to be LNG [liquefied natural gas] powered when LNG becomes available,” said Tom Crowley, CEO of the Jacksonville-based Crowley operations.
