Khizr Khan at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia spoke from the heart, on behalf of himself and his wife Ghazala Khan, regarding their son, Captain Humayun Khan of the United States Army. Their son was killed in Iraq in 2004 in a suicide bombing. Mr. Khan expressed understandable outrage at Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s declared intention to ban Muslims from entering the United States, and chastised the media celebrity for having made no sacrifices.
