Corporate battle over TV station ownership ends with hefty fine

The corporate battle over the control of the Augusta area television stations will end within 30 days when Media General, which owns ABC-affiliated station WJBF, pays $700,000. The payment is Media General’s settlement of an Federal Communication Commission investigation of its actions to try to stop corporate rival Schurz Communications from selling the NBC-affiliated station WAGT. read more
