Cyclist Herb Rodriguez will be amongst the crowd of people rolling into central Colorado Springs with Mayor John Suthers as part of the statewide Bike to Work Day Wednesday. But for Rodriguez, the commute is nothing new. While in the military, Rodriguez periodically biked 18 miles from his Palmer Park-area home to Schriever Air Force Base, where he kept toiletries and a clean uniform in his locker. "You have to be premeditated about it," said Rodriguez, now a road coach for the Front Rangers Juniors Cycling of Colorado Springs.
