Hiring fell off a cliff last month. The US economy added a measly 38,000 jobs in May, the weakest showing since September 2010. The unemployment rate tumbled to 4.7 percent from 5 percent — but that was bad news as nearly a half-million jobless Americans dropped out of the workforce and were no longer counted...
