Lt. Christian Carroccio said one of the employees then locked the door as he called 911 to keep Perez-Guzman from attacking pedestrians outside the store. Perez-Guzman refused to drop the knife, but he walked to the corner of Keller Street and dropped to his knees with his back to the officers, Carroccio said. Perez-Guzman was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree robbery, sixth-degree larceny, interfering with an officer, threatening, disorderly conduct and third-degree criminal mischief.
