A man accused of ambushing his estranged wife and her boyfriend at their Black Forest mobile home - fatally shooting him and wounding her - is being evaluated by a psychiatrist, his attorneys announced in court on Thursday. Fourth Judicial District Judge Scott A. Sells agreed Thursday to postpone an arraignment for Maxwell Mayo Garihan, 59, until the evaluation is complete. Public defender Eydie Elkins told the court a defense expert needs more time to review additional mental health documentation. In approving the request, Sells told family members of the victims, who filled half of the courtroom gallery, that the mental health review could affect "a whole host of issues" in the Garihan case.
