Port Arthur city employee facing metal theft charges

A former City of Port Arthur employee assigned to the water distribution department was formally charged Friday by the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office for allegedly stealing metal before selling it to a Beaumont scrap yard. Raymond Patrick Johnson is charged with theft of metal by a public servant, a third-degree felony punishable by two to 10 years in prison.
