Anyone who thought they heard the world ending Tuesday morning near south Bryan County wasn’t that far off. And it didn’t have anything to do with presidential candidates. With two volleys and about 600 rounds, the 3rd Infantry Division’s Division Artillery fired off more than 30 howitzers at once as part of training aimed at showcasing battle readiness. The mission showed the ability of soldiers at the installation to provide lethal, accurate and timely shots from various firing points and multiple weapons systems.
