A Savannah man on Wednesday was indicted on murder charges in the December slaying of Michael Holmes. Gregory Adrin Rhynes caused Holmes’ death on Dec. 9 by shooting him with a firearm, the Chatham County grand jury said in returning a malice-murder count. The same grand jurors also indicted Rhynes on a felony-murder count by causing the death during the commission of an aggravated assault. Holmes, 33, was shot in the 1900 block of Skidaway Road.near the Kingstown Apartments, Savannah-Chatham police said.
