Pot growing operation busted in Lathrop

LATHROP — Authorities arrested two men Friday morning after raiding a large-scale marijuana grow located on a 93-acre ranch in Lathrop. Monte D. McFall, a central figure in a 2002 corruption case involving former San Joaquin County Sheriff Baxter Dunn, once owned the property and still resides there.The San Joaquin County Metro Narcotics Task Force served search warrants at properties in the 1400 block of Frewert Road in Lathrop and the 700 block of Fundy Court in Tracy.
