A new lawsuit claims grocery chain rivals Kroger and Albertsons colluded during a 2022 strike in Colorado to diminish the union’s leverage at the bargaining table, resulting in lower wages and benefits than workers otherwise would have won. The lawsuit filed Monday targets the same alleged “no-poach” deal that Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser said Kroger and Albertsons Cos.

At Terrapin Care Station, a Denver dispensary on Broadway, area manager Adam Shepler stood behind a counter displaying an array of more than 20 low-dose cannabis products: gummies, patches, drinks, topical lotions, tinctures, a vape and a powder. Micromobility company Bird will take over thousands of dockless e-scooters and e-bikes in Denver starting in December after Lyft officials decided to cut the vehicles from the company’s offerings. Lyft leaders first announced they were moving away from dockless devices in September and made it official on Friday in a shared announcement with city and Bird officials. Riders will be able to rent scooters and bikes through both the Lyft and Bird apps and more than 100 parking corrals will remain in operation, according to the Denver Department of Transportation and Infrastructure. People have taken more than 22 million trips on e-bikes and e-scooters in Denver since late 2018, according to data tracking site RideReport.

Justin Brunson had never bought meat at a grocery store before moving out of his parents’ home on their farm in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, at the age of 21.
