Shoplifters target Danbury pharmacy, department stores

The first incident took place at Rite Aid Pharmacy, 1 Padanaram Road, just before noon last Wednesday, when Cheryl Degiacomo, 55, of New Street, tried to steal about $94 worth of items from the store, police said. Police said Brookfield resident Brendan Zelle, 26, of Longview Drive, tried to leave the store without paying for $120 in merchandise.
