Hillary Clinton takes a well-deserved post-Benghazi victory lap at the DNC’s Women’s Leadership Forum

House Republicans certainly didn't intend to provide wind for Hillary Clinton's sails, but Thursday's disastrous Benghazi Committee hearings seems to have provided exactly that, as the candidate was absolutely jubilant in a speech before the Democratic National Committee's Women's Leadership Forum (WLF) on Friday. A raucous crowd greeted Clinton as she came on stage, and she didn't seem inclined to try to talk over over them, so she waved for them to settle down and merely said, "it's been quite a week, hasn't it?" "As some of you may know, I had a pretty long day yesterday, but I finally got to answer questions -- something I've been literally pushing for a year -- and I'm just grateful I've recovered my voice." "But as I said from the start," she added, "I wanted to rise above partisanship and reach for statesmanship, and that's what I've tried to do." Clinton went on to praise the WLF for the work they've done to represent the other, often unrepresented half of the American population. Watch her entire speech below via CSPAN.
