An employee at the Southbury Training School was charged last week with illegally collecting workers’ compensation benefits while earning thousands of dollars working as a bail bondswoman, state prosecutors said Monday. After she reported suffering a work-related injury in July 2014 while working at the training school, Griffin received nearly $68,000 in workers’ comp through August 2015, according to the arrest affidavit.
