PD: ‘Combative’ Danbury man fought officers twice in a week

DANBURY — A Morris Street man was arrested twice this week after two bizarre incidents at a restaurant and a hair salon, police said. Vicente Penafiel-Buenano, 22, is being held on a $25,000 bond on felony assault charges for punching an officer, trying to bite another, trying to urinate on a bar floor, among other allegations, police said. Including both incidents, Penafiel-Buenano has been charged with three counts each of assault on emergency personnel and interfering with an officer; two counts of first-degree criminal trespass; and one count each of third-degree assault, third-degree criminal mischief, second-degree breach of peace, disorderly conduct and interfering with an emergency call.
