Although Thursday marks the first day of autumn, the forecast in Colorado Springs call for partly sunny skies and a high of 78 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Pueblo. Precipitation is still possible, as there's a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening. Similar sunny conditions are expected through the weekend with highs in the low 80s, the weather service said.
