NEWTOWN — A woman was taken to the hospital Tuesday evening after being struck by a car on Summit Road, according to the Newtown Hook Ladder Volunteer Fire Company. The accident happened just before 6 p.m. The pedestrian, who suffered leg injuries, was possibly dragged by the car, according to scanner reports.
