It was a tough weekend at Spartan Stadium. On Friday, Lima Senior went down to Division I powerhouse Toledo Whitmer, 49-33. Then Saturday night, Division II Edgewood overpowered Lima Central Catholic, 62-21. It seemed like the only person having a ball was Lima Senior mascot Sparty, as he continually waved and revved up the crowd from the the back of his Sparty cart during his ride by the home stands after every Spartans’ TD. For the Spartans, it was much closer against Whitmer than the last three years.
