RIDGEFIELD — The Ridgefield Police Benevolent Association and the Ridgefield professional and volunteer fire departments will hold their second annual “Safety Day” on Sept. 13 in the East Ridge Middle School parking lot. The free event will feature several safety demonstrations, including a helicopter landing on the ball field at 11:30 a.m., a crash simulator and K-9 dogs.
