Raycom Media Inc. is seeking FCC permission to buy Amarillo’s CBS affiliate KFDA-TV NewsChannel 10 and five other Texas television stations in a $160 million deal with Drewry Communications Group, according to media reports. The deal includes: KXXV (ABC) Waco; KFDA-KEYU (CBS-Telemundo) Amarillo; KSWO (ABC) Wichita Falls, Texas-Lawton, Okla.; and KWAB-KWES (NBC) Odessa-Midland. The parties involved in Raycom Media’s acquisition of Drewry Communications filed an application on Friday with the FCC, and are awaiting approval. read more
