Lincoln High graduates celebrate 150 years of a premier African-American school

Graduates of Lincoln College Preparatory Academy, formerly Lincoln High, gathered Saturday night for a sesquicentennial ball at the Westin Crown Center hotel. Most of the men and women at the Saturday gala graduated between 1950 and 1980 and remembered Lincoln High School as the “Castle on the Hill.” “To me, it means everything,” said Frederick Cooley, class of 1956.
