Three hurt in Danbury crash

DANBURY — Three people were taken to the hospital Friday night after a two-car crash on southbound Route 7, state police said. The accident happened about 10 p.m. near the Federal Road on-ramp and the Brookfield border. A car driven by a 29-year-old woman rear-ended another car, pushing it against the guardrail on the left shoulder, police said. The struck car ended up stopping in the center lane while the Brookfield woman drove away, according to the report. Police said she was found nearby just a short time later and was taken to Danbury Hospital along with two Danbury people that were in the car she hit.
