Amarillo only needs to receive an additional 0.02 of an inch of rain for 2015 to be ranked among the city’s top 10 wettest years on record, according to National Weather Service officials. The city has received 26.96 inches of precipitation through Wednesday, making this year the 11th-wettest year out of 124 years on record so far.
