DeBartolo Jr. reached a handshake agreement yesterday on a new four-year contract. DeBartolo and Montana would not discuss the financial terms, but The Sporting Green reported two weeks ago that the contract is for $13 million, averaging $3.25 million per year, making Montana the NFL’s highest-paid player.
