Google+’s stranglehold over YouTube’s comments is ending

Way back in 2013, YouTube users fought the Google+ takeover of the site's comment section with text art tanks. And nearly two years later, Google appears to be surrendering.In a blog post Monday, the company said it is moving away from requiring Google+ to use other Google services. "People have told us that accessing all of their Google stuff with one account makes life a whole lot easier," wrote Bradley Horowitz, the vice president of Streams, Photos, and Sharing -- the team now responsible for Google+.
