How to Access NY Magazine's Cover Story on Bill Cosby Accusers While Their Site is Down

35 Cosby Accusers

Just a few hours after New York Magazine put up their elaborate cover story on the Bill Cosby accusers, their site went down -- possibly due to the immense media attention brought on by the cover and the article, which contains photographs, videos, and testimonies from the 35 women.

I started noticing it when I saw mentions on my Twitter feed a few hours ago. At the time, I was still able to access the page, but only for a few minutes before the whole site became inaccessible.

Here's the official word from the magazine's Twitter account:

But thanks to Google, you can still access the cached version of it. Just do a search for the article on the search engine (I used the keywords “ny mag cosby accusers”), look for the article from New York Magazine (mine appeared on the second page of the search results), and then click on the arrow next to the title for the “cache” option.

My thoughts and sympathies are with the magazine's tech team tonight. They obviously have to stay up late to get the site back online.

UPDATE 7/27/2015 12PM:
According to TheWrap and IndieWire, New York Magazine has been hacked and is undergoing a DDOS attack, during which a hacker would overwhelm a site's servers by sending them enoumous amounts of traffic.

During the meantime, the magazine's Twitter account announces that the Cosby article can be accessed on their Tumblr account:

UPDATE 7/27/2015 11:59PM:
New York Magazine is back online!
