The heat is expected to subside only slightly in Volusia and Flagler counties Friday as the forecast calls for a high of 88 degrees and rain in the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.The chance of rain will be as high as 80 percent during the day, backing down to 40 percent at night and a low temperature in the mid 70s.
