Comment on Man arrested on meth charges in Wilmington

WILMINGTON -- A man is facing methamphetamine manufacturing charges after being arrested in Wilmington. Jason Schmidt, 32, was arrested Tuesday in the 5000 block of Hunter's Trail, according to the New Hanover County jail. Schmidt also is charged with two counts of maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance, possession of a schedule II controlled substance, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine precursors. Schmidt is being held at the jail on $50,000 bail. -- Cammie Bellamy
