SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Attorneys say Dixie State University is in settlement talks with two former women's basketball players who sued the college over alleged racial, sexual and religious discrimination. Assistant Utah Attorney General Greg Soderberg said during a federal court hearing Tuesday in Salt Lake City that a settlement is possible, though the university has denied the allegations in court documents. The women allege that former coach Catherria Turner treated black players differently than white players and harassed them about their sexual orientation. Nanea Woods and Austen Harris accuse Turner of allowing her father to be a co-coach even though he wasn't employed by school.Read more on NewsOK.com
